Wow, that is a lot happening in a short time. wishihng the best for your friends' recovery. Sorry for the loss of you neighbor's dog - knowing him so long, it must be tough knowing you won't be saying "hi" to him again.

Praying for your dad quick recovery!

Even if it is for only 2 rotors & pads, that is pretty cheap, IMHO.

I've been taken them chocolates and mashin em up in my ice cream. Not so bad that way!!

Hope your dad has a quick recovery! My mom has been in rehab for about a month. She fell again and had another mini stroke. Her heart was erratic so they put in a pace maker. Now she's recouping waiting to get well enough to have stints or a bypass surgery. Her spirits are good and she keeping the nurses on their toes! She gotz spunk!! :)

    Yup...

Ya get what ya pay for.

The cost on brake jobs can be spendy.

Fact is though, that as a mechanic, once you touch the brakes you are liable for a lot of things.

Hence the cost to the consumer.

When I had my shop at home I stuck to auto trannies and engine work due to liability.

Trannies were good $$$$$ and giving a customer a great shifting unit brought lotsa work.

Brakes just made my insurance man cringe.

Did the brakes on the Honda Element yesterday. Due to a design flaw, IMO, the Honda Elements and the current CRV's have a service bulletin to clean and lube the brakes before each winter. I have to do it twice a year, it's my only complaint really. The town I live in buys the cheapest grade of sand, pure dust. It cakes into crevices and clings to the brake grease. PITA!

I have to do a honey bee lock out today and refinish the truck bed topper. The bees moved into our 1852 house during the last month. I'm not looking forward to tearing the house apart to remove the honey.

Spent half the day in the Togus VA Urgent care. I woke up this Am with a swollen hot and tender lower leg and ankle. I'm an Rn familiar with this and knew right off that I had an infection. So off to the VA. They were swamped so it took awhile to be seen, but when I was seen all was done right. Now home with an antibiotic and precautions. No pool for a while. :(

Glad to hear that she is giving the nurses a run for their money!! Thats a good sign :)

Dad should have gone into rehab 3 weeks ago when he had similar issues and was in the hospital for a few days. He refused rehab and is now paying the price once again but is worse now. Wonder where I get my stubborn attitude from
