    Yeah, but why do I always have stuff left over when I put it back together?:picard::D
    I decided against using the tow strap with the Jeep. I'll talk to the contractor about the best method to deal with that wall.

    Talk about a project!

    Seems that we all have the same stories to tell about how shoddy things were built and then corrected by "later on projects".

    Makes you wonder just how the houses stood standing for so many years, no?

    New construction windows before installing siding.
    2" ALUMINUM Nails into every stud when nailing siding.
    Blocking behind all the exterior outlets, lights and spigots, behind the siding so siding is not deformed when mounting them.

    Wife suggested talking to our trash guy about taking the siding, so this morning I caught him before he even had our normal stuff loaded.
    He'll be back tomorrow to pick up the trailer load. He seems to think the going rate is $.35/lb. Nearest recycling place is 30-ish miles away.
    Might be a few bucks in it for him, and I have neither the time, energy, nor inclination to do it, so..................:handshake:

    Pulled off a few last pieces on the gable end/back of house and some j channel today.
    Still waiting on the guy to call or just show up.............:whistle:
    I think I'll call a couple local contractors for an estimate. It's been over 2 weeks since we first talked to these folks. Busy or not, a simple phone call would be nice.
    Wife made a point that there will be or already are a lot of materials going down to Texas and Florida for rebuilding.

    We've been told twice that the contractor would be here within a couple days.......nope.
    There are options I haven't mentioned yet, so if that's true.......my labor is free. :D
