Usually if dogs know that they can come, they will go anywhere as long as they are with you. We had a dog that loved the baggage compartment of our small plane. It was even better if she could con one of the girls to play in the back and she would sneak into their seat. This was the same dog that would happily get in the trunk of the car if she knew she was included. Why the trunk? She was a look-alike Gordon Setter and dragged sand, sticks etc along with her where ever she went.

So far, so good. Looks like he'll be around for a while. We'll finalize his adoption on Friday.
He's been with me at the shop last few days, cats aren't as freaked out about him- they're coming around, and he's generally pretty sweet. "Lilly" our Lab doesn't have any issues with him except one, and that's our issue, not hers.
If you want to see what a doofus he is- www.charliesplaceshelter.org
Go to adoptable dogs at the top, then look for "King". He's hard to miss.
    Thanks for asking WW.

.... back to prints, it never ends........ :hair:

He's a "derp" dog. Everyone, and I mean everyone who has seen him the last few days makes a comment about his eyes.
He's cool, we'll keep him around for a bit. ;)

Lots of lightning and thunder here today, poor dogs. Good news is the sod we put down is doing better than I expected and got watered by mother nature a couple different times today, bummer is Blackie is afraid of the thunder. I don't get it, yes we rode out a horrible night just the dogs and me in the old house, and our house sat right above 2+ cities so he heard all the emergency sirens but I still wonder why after 8 years he became fearful of it.

Gave Blackie some of the non pot "Calm" pill. Not quite doing the trick though he's not panting as fast. Blondie laid down in the bathtub and fell asleep lol.

Blackie might benefit from some of the "pot" salves. A friend of mine has an old Lab/mix, it hates thunder storms. A drop of that salve rubbed on it's ears and happy dog in 30 minutes. Local Vet recommended stuff, so I was told. Just a thought.

Thanks for posting that. Yup, that's my new nerd. But...
He's showing signs he's a pretty sharp. Also displaying great protective signals. It's only been a few days but I'm optimistic about this goofy looking.......dawg. ;)
He'll be big also, already an inch taller @ the shoulder than my Lab. Yr. 1 - Yr. 3 photos will be cool.

    King looks like a love!

Interestingly, I saw a female husky named Argent. In the 80's I had a female husky I named Argent (silver) - the one at Charlie's looks a lot like her, but is the spitting image of my Argent's sire. Never seen the name before so really caught my eye. At least they are honest and tell you about her escape artist abilities (been there done that)

Her big sis Meesha, was also a red. The 2 of them took off one day from the farm... ran through the woods and a mud bog about a mile away... we got a call from a family we knew of... they caught both of em going after their geese... Tek had one of em in her mouth (it survived)... :picard:... it's a wonder both weren't shot. Came very close I hear.

Not certain but I can check. She's in G.J. right now so I'll send her an e-mail, see what she uses.
