Got the pool closed today, it will be time to start moving firewood to the patio soon.

Yup. Another summer passed. However, later this week you might wish you still have that pool uncovered! I even see 80 in the forecast.

We're covering the pool, too. I had to move wood OFF the patio in order to put the cover on.

......and I am so glad I have always lived where they do.
    I need the changes.
What would life be without fall?

We usually have a warm up after we close, but my interests shift to other things as Fall arrives. Don't see any 80's predicted here.

Too much stuff from the trees falling into the pool this time of year. Plus the cost/ benefit ratio changes: electricity to run the pump + chemicals = $ per swim when the water is 61°????

I'll bet that water does not warm up much! Beware of shrinkage.

We took the boat out today for a short trip before they start dropping the water levels and the top water temp was 62, the brook is usually much colder but I'll get a dip in on the 80 degree day.
