Perhaps I am biased but no doubt all know that I'd vote for a Woodstock stove. I've yet to see a better company and all their stoves are super. Problems? No problems with customer service if you choose Woodstock but many of us have heard or read of some real nightmares when it comes to fixing problems with other stoves. Woodstock is second to none.

Smart Girl. Keep her happy and warm. 'Happy wife, happy life.' Maybe get her a nice large glass front one with lots of secondary burn to watch and it will grow on her ... and she'll learn to love it. Especially if she picks it out and it's followed by a nice dinner on the way home.

I ended up getting the NC 30...
There's another thread some where, you and a few other members gave me some tips on operating it.
Later on I installed a temp OAK....It worked pretty good, so I installed a permanent OAK. (never got around to posting pics)
It's still pretty early in the heating season, but I have no doubts that the NC 30 will heat my house.
Was in the 20's this morning, woke up to a kitchen and living room in the mid 70's (4 splits at 10pm when I went to bed)
Put 4 splits in this morning when I left for work at 6 am, got home at 6:30 pm kitchen and living room still in the mid 70's
I am VERY satisfied with this stove.

Your house is obviously well sealed and insulated.

Ya, the 30 should handle 1200 sq.ft. no problem! :dennis:

Well ya, but you haven't been in my 1200 sq. ft. house.
Put about 8 splits in the load last night and when I got up, the house was 66, and it had only gone down to 25 overnight.
    Dat ain't right.
I'd love to only need 4-5 splits in that weather and wake to a 70 degree or warmer house.
    It's gettin' there.

I'm just catching up with some older woodstock threads. This is another one I missed back in 2015!
How is the NC30 working for you since you got it HammerheadC4 ?
