Bad thing is I only have to move it 20 ft, but if I pick it up off the ground and throw it down there, it would probably be quicker, but then I have to pick it up off the ground again to stack it, so I was loading it in the little trailer and taking it down 20ft then stacking it

Great progress... Are you pulling that cart around the yard? If so, no wonder why your back hurts...
    Stay at it HD!
Add a swiveling, wide wheeled trailer jack in place of the stock leveler on yer splitter... then you can push the splitter to the pile/load of wood which ideally could be unloaded right where you would want to stack it. Cuts down on carting from a centralized process area.
    :)

I guess that is the nature of dealing with firewood.

Yea , a little at a time at our age.

I went out to move more to the shed.
    Sun was out
3 trailer loads later, it started raining :(
One of those wet years for us.
    The saying is ,
"it'll quit raining soon, when it turns too snow"

Quicker is not always best. Working smarter is.
I noticed we are the same age. I could split more wood quicker if I just threw the splits on the ground, pick them up and then stack. But not bending over and double handling it sure saves on the back. I load a couple of rounds in the bucket of my skid steer, roll a big round off onto the splitter, and split it in half rolling the half back into the bucket. The other half I split in half again and roll one half back into the bucket. I then start splitting putting the splits into the bucket. When the bucket is full, I then take it back to the stack. Raise the bucket up to waist level and stack. Not efficient I know, but sure saves the back.
Yes yes I know Dennis. I am using the splitter in the wrong orientation. :rofl: :rofl:

Yeah , when I'm running the splitter they go right into the little trailer then to stacking unless I'm splitting right next to where I'm stacking
That's a good setup with your skid steer bucket
