Aw come on....we'll get a week in the singles, 2 years ago we had several days broken up in a week below zero... No wind is not bad, but 15°F's with a sustained 10-20 mph wind is downright
As shameful as it is for me to point it out, this is by far the funniest post you've had...EVER! And you know just what part I'm talking about!! I'll admit that I laughed out loud! Was the snow that deep; usually people only freeze their azz off!
It was true. I needed an arctic parka. How do you folks survive up there? We drove up to do some yard work and by the time the sun started dipping to the horizon I thought I was going to freeze to death. I was jumping up and down and everything to try to keep the blood flowing. I didn't take the proper clothes with me because I have never been in the frozen north in November before.
Yes, I remember that. Here the temps never got above zero and then way down at night. I lost some of my garden perennials due to the roots freezing. The fig froze to the ground and had to come back from the roots. That was before I had the wood stove so I was freezing trying to keep the electric furnace from constantly running. I wore coats in the house.
Trying really hard not to respond to above posts.....I know if I hadn't shut down early last night, I would've been all over them like crows on a deer carcass!
As you pointed out earlier, cold is relative - picture of me in 2010 cleaning up the flower gardens at my old place
