Think it's going to be this week here. The old man is coming up from the south, and the three 60 degree rainy days mid week will have him shivering if I don't get the boiler cranked up. Didn't really want to light it off this early, but I guess that's what we do the work for, right?

It's true! She just asked a minute ago when I wanted to get started. I laughed and said as soon as the dew dries up. One more cup of coffee! :coffee:

IMG_0447.JPG It's not exactly the wood we talked about bringing into the garage but it made its way in there somehow while I was mowing.
    She's awesome!
Time to smoke a pork loin and have a couple cold ones:grizz::cheers:

Well got off my butt and loaded up the garage yesterday with some cord wood and uglies.
Then today I cleaned the stove and ran the sooter eater down the pipe. Got about a coffee can full of ash out of it. I only do it once a year so not bad.
Last night it got down into the high 40's so I am ready for winter. Tomorrow I will make my last trip to the mountains for one last load of wood.

    Yikes.

We are getting a lot of the smoke from the fires up in Montana. Must be pretty bad up there.

Close, but no cigar! Maybe if it were Friday or Saturday we'd have a fire in the pit out back. But since it's only Tuesday night will just snuggle on the couch to keep warm.:emb:

Nice and cool in the house, but my young daughter is insisting that we be out on the porch tonight. It's cooling down quickly, but it feels much mugger than the 64% humidity the weather app is showing.

Ditto. Flash flood watch for today and Thursday. I still plan to play cards tonight, cribbage, with some friends 8n a screenhouse. It has sliding vinyl panels to keep weather outside.

Cool temps for the weekend. Maybe small fires in the woodstove each morning.

I was driving to a customers site this morning at 9, and there was torrential rain the entire way to the highway. Lots of ponding and brown rivers running down the road!
