3 truckloads split and piled. I'm beat. Beer and other things in my future. And some ice, torn rotator cuff is howling!!
It's mostly ash, some white pine. The splitter is on loan, I get it when it needs work, I use it, fix it and return it. The Oliver has been great, clearing snow, moving mulch and I've got an auger for it that will hopefully see some use this summer. Shoulder is killing right now!
I hurt my shoulder a few years ago and it was the worst pain I've ever had. You can't find a comfortable position to sleep
nice job, TC. Go soak that sore shoulder in some "alcohol" (aka BEERS). Nothin' like an honest day's work......
my snowmobile "incident" from last Monday evening has my upper ribs in some dire straits right now......sore as hell. I think I may have cracked a couple of 'em...
Yes, a little small, bigs are on the bottom. I got a small firebox at 1.3 cu ft. Amen on the sleeping, it's been a little rough, just finally healed tennis elbow after about 1 1/2 years, that was misery! Hopefully wood hoarding will keep me in a little better shape (if it doesn't kill me first)
lets just say I had a "roll in the hay" with my old sled over in my neighbor's lower field. It's an old sled, the left ski decided to come loose at around 45mph and well.....you can guess what happened next. I'm ok, bruised up and all, but OK. the ribs REALLY started hurting this afternoon when I was working on getting the bent ski crossmember out of the sled. Either I pulled a tender muscle, or I aggravated a fracture. Whatever happened, it hurts to breath right now...... Sorry for the hijack, TC. Back to the subject here. Oh, maybe send some beers my way!!
Very nice. The pictures showing grass/dirt and ground without snow on it give me hope. I think we're going on 88 days or something like that with snow over on the ground.
FWIW, if you mix isopropal alcohol with water in your ice bag, it freezes to a slush and not solid. Good for the aches and pains. About 30% alcohol, gotta play with the proportions to get it just right. Ice bag seems to be my evening ritual.
