Well we started on the hearth tonight. I hope to have some photos tomorrow. I also started mocking up some of the chimney stuff
And the single wall to double wall will not fit quiet right. I think a guy could make it work but having a thermostat on the single is not important enough for me to fight with it.

SOOOO looks like i may be 10" short. Lol from stove to ceiling. Which won't stop the INSTALL may just be a few extra days before we can fIre it.

You can get a probe type thermometer to use on double wall...did you get a telescoping section of the doublewall? Makes life easier in several ways...

You see, that's what I was wondering about fitting the single into the double wall

Doing this alone is a serious workout.

Yes, yes it is. I have done quite a few installs by myself...including a couple 5-600# furnaces...and one 900# one!
    Looking good there Corey!
Do you have a plan for sealing up the cracks between the tiles? As mentioned earlier, kind of a long shot, but that could be a hiding spot for a hot ember...not good!

I hate saying this, coffee snobs :coffee: and all that, but that sure looks like a can of Folgers on the left in that last photo!

I'm looking forward to hearing how that stove works for you.

Far out! My father is afraid of heights but had no problem getting his pilots license. Interesting!
