Got any insight as to the difference between perpendicular pulp hook handles vs. the pick having a parallel handle. For handling splits I've become preferential to using a pulp hook in each hand. Carrying splits on a pulp hook seems more natural. I also like being able to set them with a flick of the wrist. Handling rounds is different, how about rolling big rounds or pulling them up on end. Does the short pickaroon feel different compared to a 30" one?
I was looking all over the place for the same type of handle as a pulp hook but longer, because that type of handle is easier to grip, it is more natural for your wrist to be in that position and it's just easier to grip when you have arthritis in your hands or even if you don't, you don't have to squeeze it tight, so, for heavier weights I will bend over if I have to, rolling big rounds and pulling them up on end, hands down a pulp hook and for pulling rounds up on end the length of the pulp hook I have is an advantage. Might be an opportunity for someone to Market a different type of tool
Can't beat the pulp hook for Rolling big rounds to the splitter and positioning for vertical splitting and then positioning the large sections to finish it up

Oh yeah I forgot my back really likes it too... and, there it is... the goal. I use my 30" hookeroon from Logrite for the same thing HD. Also works really well, I've discovered, for sliding under branches to pick them up to waist height without bending over.

I wasn't sure either, especially after looking at a lot of different ones all over the wide world web , so I finely settled on one and crossed my fingers that it would work good and be the right length for what I wanted . Would be nice to test swing em , no where to that I know of . Had same problem with the Fiskers X27-X25 which one to get
Yup, that was the goal , I'm glad I achieved it , instead of wasting my time n money . I've used my long hookeroon for that to , smaller sticks I use the pick up tool . Sucks gettin older just have to work smarter I guess
What does the end of a pulp hook look like? From what I see, they look like a hay hook... I have some old homemade ones that are about 2' long- they work good for pulling hay bales off the top of the stack
This is the tip shape Here is a long hay hook , I bent to shape and hardened the tip, it's about 12" You have to harden the tip or it will just bend
