That's great camping weather. Slows down the mosquitoes. Makes the fire feel real good.

the lakes and ponds are great for that. I have a 150 acre pond across the street from my house, this time of year it helps keep me a bit warmer, and all summer it helps keep it about 6 degrees cooler than just down the street.

Low this morning was 51, high today was low 60's. Inside this evening it was 62. It's now 46 outside. Yup - 1st fire of the season, about 2 weeks early. A small 5-split fire in the Ideal Steel - 72 inside now.

45F here right now at 4:51 AM. got to be colder than that to get a fire going and ther back up heat it needs to be down to 29F to get that going.

My garden has been growing great all summer, Did have a couple times it needed water from the well but mostly Ma nature took care of that.

I was watching some deer last evening out the living room window, one was 98% in her fall coat the secone was only about 15 % in her fall coat and the fawn was about 5% in its fall coat. It was shedding how ever.
Seen 4 bucks in the morning while dog walking and their velvet has dryed up so they will soon be rubbing to get it rest off.
Couple weeks into Sept isn't to early for that.

    :D Al

Back up to 90* for a high tomorrow! Crazy weather for sure. Maybe a first fire Wed. or Thurs. highs in the mid 60's and lows in the mid 40's. I'm really looking forward to a small first fire. I'll have to leave the fan off! LOL
My wife is going to help me get a face cord of soft maple to the garage in the morning. :stacke: :woodsign: With only one arm to use for several more weeks, it would take me half the day without her. She'd help anyway, but I sure appreciate it a touch more right now. :D I'm a pretty lucky fella!
