...wifey and I went to a local car cruise-in this afternoon, and it was a chilly one at that here in central PA. With Tropical Storm Harvey lingering here, it kept most cars from coming, but we took the old Grabber to the show and although it didn't rain, there wasn't much of a turnout.

We had to go regardless, and work in our local Boy Scout troop food tent, it's one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.

So my sweetheart was cold all day, and she hinted around about building a fire in the fireplace on the way home. With the cold rain that is coming down right now, and my love for her (and my love for the the fireplace), it didn't take much leg-pulling to get me to light it up.....you guys and gals all know how much I love a good fire!!

It's official for us, earliest first fire of the season we've ever had!

The local car Club posted one of our car earlier......I didn't take many pics today. We were working the food booth.

Going back, it seems the earliest burn for my main floor stove was this year - on 8/31/17. However, to be fair, I didn't burn at all after May and I usually burn at least sporadically into June (have burned as late as June 28 - and that wasn't just to take the chill out of the air).

Scotty Overkill it must not have been too cold. I see sleeves rolled up and shirt partially unbuttoned. Did you wear felt packs?

She's the one who's always cold. If you ever noticed, I'm usually in a sweatshirt with the sleeves rolled up even in the middle of January when I'm out cutting.....lol

If they had been taken selfies many years ago, I could envision you both doing this on a date and looking younger. Maybe even in the same car.
