    Hello
In season Ash sticks to sides of the exhaust venting and during the summer the moisture brings it down!
    Hence the term
    "Summer Choke Down"

This happens a lot with Pellet inserts but I have seen it with free standing too where the pipe was so clogged the vacuum switch tripped!
Time to clean the venting and install a new High Temp white Exhaust Blower gasket and clean blower and blades with a wire brush and "Dry Moly" the impeller blades and put light machine oil on the motor shaft and bearing on back.

    Ash Avalanche!
    See pics!!!

Have you seen "Summer Choke Down" ???

"Have you seen Summer Choke Down". I'm was gonna go see Dunkirk tonight with my son but if Summer Choke Down is playing maybe I'll see that instead. Lead actress has to be Dry Molly

IMO, that first pic indicates just a lack of any kind of cleaning maintenance.

    Correct
However if the stove is professionally cleaned once per year then does the venting need anything else?
