You are dead on! Live and let live is key.

My bride doesn't push it on anyone and doesn't make any fuss about her diet around anyone or when we do go out.

I try to accommodate her as best I can when picking restaurants or cooking though.

I figure she is doing no real harm in being a vegan so no big woop.

I did tell her that to help vegetarians and vegans they really should encourage people to hunt for food as much as possible.

The more people have to kill their meal the less meat would be consumed. I would expect quite a few people would stop eating meat because of the experience.

With things like people getting on their high horse about what they eat, to me it is a case of it does not bother me what they eat so why does it bother them what I eat? After all, the Bible itself tells me it is okay to eat meat. But as stated, it does not bother me if they choose to not eat it.

Big time rains down south make us think. Then we have days like yesterday. Here looking at the radar you'd think we got lots of rain. Not so. Only .1" and it basically rained almost all morning. A friend lives 50 miles to our east and did not get rain until in the afternoon. He got 3" dumped on him. That is a huge difference in only 50 miles especially with no big storm system near us.

Pretty sure the Cajun Navy rolling out to Houston is the most awesome thing I've heard of in a long time. Good on those guys.

I haven't had anyone but just once who came in uninvited. With two big dogs, I get a lot of notice, Most of the time. I just installed a totally wireless security monitoring system. (several cameras) Once armed, any thing that sets it off sends the recording directly to the cloud and sends an alarm to my phone and computers. I can see and hear anything within range. Even If I am away, no distance limitations, I get a visual notice with voice. Being 70, I don't think I can do much with an intruder, but if I can scare them off and get a good recording, I'll have something to get justice with. Besides, I don't think they want to deal with two 100+ pound dogs They can bark very loud.

All this meat eating talk has me really looking forward to a business dinner at the Capitol Grille tonight! Pretty sure I'm not going to be good and get the tuna this time. :dex:

We got 3" of rain yesterday. Most of it was in the am in 2 big bursts. I had to drive through one of those bursts on my way to work. I couldn't drive faster than 35 mph because the wipers couldn't go any faster.

Now, the next town away, got half that amount of rain, and a city only 7 miles south only got a half inch.

We needed the rain, so it's all good.

ABC's Tom Llamas caught a looter in the act on tape, and the lower responded with a "f off snitch" reply.

    Oh boy....:picard:

I feel like a sell-out. My wife had me put in a gas fireplace in our family room off the the dining room. This end of the house is more difficult to heat with the IS so I can see her point.
It just makes me feel weird that I did it and told you all

Raining this morning which the blackberries and everything else needs. Yesterday on my walk there was an awesome red sun coming up in the east. The wildfires in the interior are still sending smoke our way on the horizon combined with the fog created the great sunrise. The rain today will clear it out the smoke. It was really warm here as there was no wind and a slight cloud cover kept the warmth in. Really unusual summer weather.
