This is my second year playing...we just play for the fun of it here, dont get real serious about it more than a bit of razzing. I'm sure there are a few more here... Any other's out there?

We just got done drafting for this year... it went a lot smoother than last years did... The only real issue that I see is I only got 1 Tight End drafted, but I should be able to pick one up in another week or so...

I play, have for several years.

I tried to get a league going here last year.

I think we should, FHC FFL. Loser has to split elm with an axe or maul.

    So we've got 3. Need, 5 more.

    I'm serious

So we need 8-14 people total.

I like PPR leagues., But I'd do either standard or .5 pt ppr too.

If we get enough people to do this, I'll set up the league.

We could have some great trash talking.

If you only have 1 TE spot, you're fine. You can always pick up a TE. How many in your league?

Btw, if we did a FHC league, all my advice stops;)

It would be simple. Just need at least 8 email addresses, and we could do the draft online at night, just before the season starts.

I could set it all up in short order. Just for fun, no $.

    It's good fun.

With labor day, there's usually a way to make the schedule work for everyone.

    Who else would be in?

You follow football though, right? If so, it's really quite simple.

You online draft a team, waiting for your turn, and typically have to fill the following roster.

    1 quarterback
    2 running backs
    2 wide receivers
    1 tight end
1 flex ( usually wide receiver or running back. But can be RB/wr/ TE) - depends on league rules
    1 team defense
1 kicker ( I hate kickers, usually make it another flex)
Plus a certain amount of bench spots.

So you set your weekly roster to play, then hope for the best.

You can pick up and drop players as needed to deal with injury, or bye week, or simply because someone blows or someone else is better.

It sounds a little complicated, but the sites like NFL.com, ESPN, and Yahoo ( others too) are free, and make it easy.

Eric, if I can do it, I know you can. It's very easy.
    Hint, take your rb first.

    Ppr is point per reception.

Example: wr makes a 10 yard non touchdown catch. Typically 1 point in most leagues. You get an additional 1 point in ppr leagues. So a 10yd catch is 2.0 points

Rb catches a screen for 0 yrds gained? Still 1 point cuz he caught it.

    Ppr= point per reception.

So a RB that catches 4 passes, gets the yardage pts, plus 4 points.

    68 yards rushing +4 passes caught for 12 yards = 12 points.

In a standard league, that would only be 68+12= 80 yards= 8 points

Ah it's been a while since I played, I like pick 'ems better, so I will bow out.

Nothing worse than watching a game with a friend when the opponent scores and they have brief celebration because they "got them in fantasy." :hair:
