I had some surface rust on the upstairs stove when I cleaned in the spring , the ash almost acts like a barrier .

My ash would get moist and leave surface rust. Since the one time I try to do it by June.

Low outside this morning was 46*. Mother Nature sure is fickle, goes from 60+* nights to 40's. Seems too quick to me.

I feel really good - mine is dang near in new condition compared to yours - and no, I didn't clean them today because I painted the new roof overhang today to protect the wood from the weather. What's that got to do with it you ask? The LBT would be blowing the ashed right at the newly painted stuff. Might be okay if the paint was brown or at least dark, but not with a pale yellow paint.

41*F the past couple mornings (don't believe my WU weather sticky) and the construction on the carport is at a standstill:doh: Hurt my back and isn't getting any better yet. Today I'm leaving for Cochrane (polar bear habitat) and tomorrow heading to Vancouver, B.C.
    Moving my youngest out west:smoke:

Chilly this morning! Supposed to warm up and be a nice day!

Joey and I laked it yesterday. Needed a flannel in the AM with the wind. But warmed and was a nice day on the water. Except I got my ash kicked!! :(

Yeah I let it go for longer than I normally do that was prolly well over a ton roasted , but that was because the burn season lasted into May . No harm No foul , I just need my chimney sweep to come in and clean that and we're good to go .
