    I don't know about you guys, but 'round here you can get 1 y/o cut, split & delivered for 140. Not gonna PAY to cut his tree down. I saw another one, roughly a cord bucked up in the middle of the yard, $150 come and get it.

    There's plenty of free stuff around now. The line crews are starting to clear lines now. I picked up a truck load of maple on my way home from work last night. Just knocked on the door and asked the owner if he wanted to get rid of the wood. He looked at me like I was crazy and said 'You want that" I said sure, he said go for it. as I was loading he came out and said come back in a couple of weeks there will be more.:axe:

    Here in a few weeks, craigslist will be full of free wood postings. Better be quick or I'll beat you there! :p

    Yep, but I struck out a couple of weeks ago. I asked the landowner, he said no, they were going to use it...but what comes to mind was you forgot about the locust and hedge from last year that's still sitting down the road. Oh well...
