Craving mac n' cheese this week. I lit the outdoor oven with my new lazy man firestarters and went with all splitter trash of oak and maple from the last wood delivery. It lit real well and was up to temp in about 40 minutes. The coals were pulled forward to heat the brick floor. Baked beans in the stone ware crock. Cornbread in the unmarked Wagner and mac n' chesee with grilled kielbasa in the #8 Griswold. 45 minutes and they were done. Excellent meal. Maybe less macaroni so it is a little cheesier. There are a lot of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The ice cream for dessert wasn't bad either.
I almost didn't look!! Mac & cheese is one of my favourite comfort foods. I guess I will go to bed drooling tonight. Ice cream looked pretty good too. We had Heavenly Hash ice cream for dessert. Good enough for seconds.
I haven't had heavenly hash in years. The ice cream is called Red Sox Peanut Butter Nation. Vanilla ice cream, with chocolate swirls and little chocolate covered peanut butter socks. A summer favorite here. And winter too.
I never tire of this. However I don't remember getting an invite!!! And believe you me, I'd be real tempted to make the 8+ hour drive to eat that meal!!
It's turned into a nightmare. Had major issues with the concrete guys, ended up kicking them off my property. I'm just waiting on an issue to be resolved so I can move forward. I'll be digging the footer for the fireplace/pizza oven this week. And I'll update my thread as well......
It's too late (thank God!), as the sidewalks are all in and done.....lol Wifey wasn't too crazy about the moat idea....lol
Local bar has almost the best pizza I've ever had, but no delivery. When Gson is here, he goes and picks it up....on my dime, of course. Car doesn't even get warm on the 2.25 mile round trip.
