I decided that another cherry would be nice for the stacks, this is some of my work for today.

I have a smaller one down that I'll get today if I get the bigger one done first.

Looks like the cherry is losing the battle. It is a beautiful day in the woods.

What a great day in the woods, we've had such a nice streak of good weather here in Northern NY, I'll hate to see it go. I started on the cherry about 9:00 a.m., all the cutting went well, I hauled three loads out then stacked it.

I still have the tops left in the woods (pic 8020) and about 1/2 a load of splits.

Good day indeed! Nice work there. My day to cut would have been yesterday, but I was cleaning out my grandmother's out building. Just football, and trailriding today, but most of all my son turned 12! He's enjoying his new laptop. Hope he's a hoardertoo one day, and keeps posting here!:axe:

Tell your son I said happy birthday. Did you find any old good stuff in the out building? The bugs in the woods yesterday and today were the worst, small flies, some other flying bug (small bees, I'm not sure) but the backwoods off did nothing.

Thanks FF, I saw that system, any flooding? We actually need some rain, things are real dry and we have people starting to burn brush for some stupid reason.

No flooding. It had been dry for a few weeks before and most of the rain has been in the form of various degrees of drizzle. With some good rains the first two days. Oh well I need to vacuum and do laundry too.

We've had some nice weather for the past two weeks except for one day, we finally received some rain last night then again today. We have a ton of cherry on our lot so we burn three cord a year that mother nature puts down.

We have some pine in the Liberty heating the house tonight, how's the weather up your way?

    More rain than anything.
I hustle on the dry days to go get a load.
40s day, mid to high 30s at night.

The colder weather should be moving in at the end of this week, we can't complain up here, it's been a nice streak of great weather.

Ya, we had some. Enough that I could not do anything outside. Wait. Was that yesterday or the day before? CRS
