That's a nice area. I was up there a couple months ago...didn't get to do much since I was working but it seemed pretty laid back.

I'm 10 minutes south of Lake Geneva. Real laid back down here.

I did an oil change on the chipper and the 20 ton splitter along with cleaning the filters out with some air. The chipper also received a good lube job. Depending on the weather, the chipper should see some action on Thursday. I'll be using the chips to level out our stacking area.

Finally reassembled the old family church pew that I had started refinishing last Nov/Dec! Also, hung a couple cabinets; a rack free standing wall shelves' also moved the wood lathe to where I think it'll stay now. Band saw ha yet to find it's permanent spot.
Garage is looking good for winter!

Old bathroom vent bit the dust (1960's). I started smelling something like part electrical fire and part what radient baseboards smell like when turned on in the fall before dusting the fins.... Opened the bathroom door, full of white smoke and darn heating element was GLOWING. Got the fire extinguisher just incase but the wall switch worked and it cooled down. No signs of fire, WWW will move my washing machine tonight to open the breaker panel, we'll flip that fuse off when he gets home. Interestingly we have a newer Broan 3 way unit still in the box (bought for old house but never got installed). Oh My  between Garry Polmateer kitchen remodel and WWW's thoughts on a bigger master bathroom, this could turn into a big project sooner than expected.:emb:

Me? I miss the big walk in shower at our old house, we have a new bathroom but its a huge jet tub with a shower curtain and I have to step over the the wall, the heater in there rocks but..... Ok I'll stop. But......

Oops, ok, 36x48 white skid proof pan, glass enclosure and swing door. And custom made plexiglass flip top cover on top for home made steam when I block the drain.

Really, will try to :zip: now

Went to the work shop this afternoon with the intention of starting to clean it. I got the corner sweep out where an old freezer was that I moved out yesterday. Pulled the air compressor to the space.
I had been thinking about making some sort of marker for logs. Had a 2x2 to move and thought that maybe it. Drilled 1/2" holes at 16'"s along the 2x2. Looked at the log pile and thought I would see how it works. Took spray paint and sprayed through the holes. It work fairly well, but I think I will make one out of a 1x4 and drill the holes 1".
Cut the first log and thought this fun. Cut up 3 more logs into rounds and moved to the splitting area. May split some of the rounds after supper.

Yesterday I cleaned the stove pipes on both the wood and pellet stoves so we're ready for the burning season. The pellet stove pipe had less in it because we burned less because of the warm winter and the wood stove had the same amount of ash compared to previous years.

I might change the door gasket on the wood stove but I'll check it again before I do that.

Hey jackwagon, did you get your bid submitted? No?! WHY NOT??
What do you mean Vulcraft made a mistake and omitted a sizable portion of material.
Your detailer can't complete the entire portion of the project in the scheduled timeframe? C'mon.
Whaaaa?? several details don't work? And you know this how? **

** 'cause I'm working with the same firm and I changed all dat chit to work and they approved it for construction.
Pretty sad when I start typing to myself. I do submit in the morning, job only grew by 6 figures or so. G-night all.

:hair: Get some good deep sleep, diminishing results are not productive for working up bids. Straighten out the steel mfgr at Vulcraft tomorrow and then reassess bidding the schools? What does your bride think?

Getting my hernia fixed today! I won't able to lift more than 20lbs for the next month. :picard:

It's amazing how simple they've made operations these days. A few little cuts and that's all. I remember my grandparents having operations and they would be in the hospital for a week or more.
