Put A New Fuel Pump In Before You Install The New One Or The Relined One.

If The Tank Is Solid, You Can Have The Inside Relined So The Rust Doesnt Enter Fuel System. If Its Borderline, Just Go Plastic Tank And Dont Look Back.

thanks, I was able to limp it back home, it just wouldnt idle, so it shouldnt be too serious. No rental insurance, thankfully work was quiet today-tomorrow so I can drive them around.

That pallet is big, must be from one of my neighbors.

plastic fuel tank and nickle copper alloy brake lines are a godsent for my POS. Granted, I may have had to swap a new cab onto it, and perform some rot repair on the frame too, but thats not the point, the brake lines and tank are perfect!

1981. Looks like all the others but I priced a snow plow for it and I guess it was some kind of "special" edition.

Just to be clear...when I said nobody was stopping you, and we needed pics, I was referring to your comment about the van being big enough to stuff a whole tree in...but sure have enjoyed the pics of your trip!

CHEVROLET K5 BLAZER Fuel Tanks - 31 gallons Fuel Tank Capacity

$100. As long as that looks like the one your truck has, that's it. You may need some seals or gaskets, tank straps, etc..

All the 81 blazer tanks I found were all 31 gallons and looked the same.

You want this one, it's for 73-81 models. The first one listed is for 82 and newer.

    Thanks!!!

    You :dex::dex:

OMG we can afford that, was thinking like new car prices and OEM stuff and welding etc etc..... (of course including the gaskets and straps etc and new fuel pump bocefus78, too funny, this will be like atleast the 3rd fuel pump for the trusty rig ) Woo hoo!

And yes, I remember filling it 30ish gallons when it was my daily driver (got mid teens mileage back then with the 305 but now the dumb asses that put the 350 in could not figure out the vapor locking so now I have a pump in there too, guessing at most 10 mpg? :picard:) so I really need the 30 gal tank for living 18 mi from the closest gas station  :rofl: :rofl:

Clean, not so much anymore after no garage here for 4 winters, but functional? YES.

When was the last fuel pump put in? If not too long ago, re-use the fuel pump.

Can't help myself, but every time I see a reference to Hippies I have to relate this story.
I use to be into Buckskinning. Basically pre 1850s historical reenacting. My grandson, who was 8 at the time, and I were at an event. I was sitting at the fire grading tea from a compressed block into my cup. My grandson asked, "What are you doing grandpa?" "I am making tea the old fashion way." His response. "You mean when the Hippies were still on the earth?" Talk about feeling old.

Almost finished. New school addition, 95% done. 117 tons of red iron alone. I'll submit tomorrow but I am flat wiped out from this one. Wish me luck.
Then I have 48hrs for the next school.
Then a 5-structure affordable housing complex- It's not normally like this, so many late starts this year. Who wants to start a project when the snow will start flying? I'll be happy just to land one, no way we could do them all in the same time frame. G-night all.

The last couple of nights I've been watching the history channel's 3-part show "The Cars That Made America".

As it is a mini series, parts are a bit drawn out, but its good enough to keep watching.

Tonight's episode will include America's youth and their desire for fun and speed muscle cars.
