There will be children. The one sun-glass style viewer I have has the same sort of warning on the box; the paper ones do not. I was unaware that you should not look, even through certified viewers, for more than a minute or so at a time.
I am printing this out to bring to my hosts.

Tried to buy some glasses on amazon. Only ones left are priced crazy. Guess I'll just work instead of stare at the sky. That's what I get for procrastinating.

A couple optholmologist practices out here, the observatory, and some flavor of the University are offering free ones if you want to check that out in Hoosierville. Or, you could do the box thing like when we kids in 1979 hee hee.

A welding helmet with a shade 13 lens will protect at the same level as the glasses.

If you stand where the sun is shining through the leaves on a tree, it will
create the same effect on the ground. If you can find a place where it is shining
on a sidewalk, it will create a 100 eclipses.
We don't need no stink'n glasses.

 Glad you remember too. I am (was) a 5th generation Colorado Native, GGrandfather settled in Denver in 1860 then bought land in Hazeltine in 1871. They're buried in Riverside on Brighton Rd. Any of that ring a bell?

They are talking about the influx of people to Simpsonville becoming crippling. It's pretty congested around here already (I actually live just outside of S'ville), I can't imagine it with hundreds of thousands more. Maybe I will just camp at work for the night. :picard:
