Man, am I ever late to the party! Hello and glad you found us Midwinter I am that Wytheville individual that Ashwatcher and TurboDiesel so eloquently eluded to.... Glad you found FHC and that you're being helped with the saw purchase so thoroughly
You are now going to need to read up on personal safety equip. Stay safe Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
Thank you, I will watch this and take it to heart. Not cutting anymore today, I have to get ready to go to Maine. Powerful machines that are so easy to use are not things to be casual about.
First thing I noticed was no boots. Whenever I use power equipment outside (even my battery operated saw), or am using implements such as a sledge hammer, shovel or hoe, I have boots on. Even in the house when I am using any kind of saw or drill, or working with anything heavy or awkward, I have my boots on. Even if you use a tool safely and don't get injured from it, a piece of wood bouncing off your foot can be a real bummer. Broke some bones in my foot about 5 weeks ago with just 3/4 of a 3/8"sheet of plywood (finally getting to where I can sit Indian style and bend my toes - still some tenderness in certain areas). Dropped it edge-on onto my foot from waist height - AND I had my boots on. Imagine the damage it would have done if I was wearing the type of footwear in the picture. That being said - your smile says your having fun, so good for you!
Sorry about your foot, hope you had an aircast! I will start wearing boots. For now, my son's old pair...
Yeah but Midwinter was rocking those slipper socks. Styling in New Hampshire!!! Safety first over style. Sent from my SM-T280 using Tapatalk
Midwinter I'm so happy you got the saw. May it serve you well for many years longer than ours has (ours is far from worn out).
