Correct. We have 3. We call them the Avatar trees. They are 60+years old. I was 6
    when my dad planted them.

The stuff on the left is ponderosa and lodge pole. That is for this winter. The stuff
on the right is Chinese elm. It is for next winter. I am the splitter. It is good exercise.
I do it every couple of weeks after work. No problem w/rot. A humid day for us is 80% when
a thunder storm rolls through. On hot days and cold days in the winter, it will stay around
10-20%. Some days this summer when it hits upper 90s it will be down to 4-5%.

Lucky lucky you! Much better than one who complains about the mess, bugs etc. Some of the ladies here cut, stack, and there is one who can take anything apart and fix it. Do you have pets, post a pic if you can. thanks

It's even better than money in the bank because it is not taxed!

Yes, we do have some ladies who do good work. Here is Mrs Eric VW and Mrs TurboDiesel at work at our GTG last spring. They split the 2 cord of mostly oak. Yes, there was a little bit of ash and even a cherry mixed in there but mostly red oak and a few white oak. Sadly, they didn't get it split...but I did.

Me too, quit counting the miles at 150,000. My wife an I have self-contained, self guided toured throughout Europe and the Eastern United States.

We took an 1100 mile tour this summer from our home and Union Kentucky to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. From there we travel to east across New York state to the eastern boundary of the state in Columbia County, to visit my wife's family. We also met some of the fine folks from the FHC family on the trip.

After returning we rested a few days and then jumped on the bikes and took another 200-mile trip to my 45th High School reunion in Barboursville West Virginia. It was a great trip.

I'm also a life member of the League of American Bicyclists and a bicycling instructor certified by the League.

Sorry about the loss of your lab, and congratulation on the new girl. We have a thread going where many of us share our fur friend stories. One guy here, has 5 dogs, mostly hounds that he takes hiking. Some of the best behaved dogs I have ever seen.
