So I have a couple of cords of chestnut oak in rounds from this Winter/Spring and ready for splitting. Unfortunately, life and a broken foot have kept me from getting it split and stacked and obviously I don't wan't it to rot. So, if any of you are willing to help me split and stack, I'm willing to repay you by giving you half of the split wood. I have a hydraulic splitter. My foot is healing so I can do a little work, but not nearly enough to get through this pile. I'm in Central PA near Palmyra. P.M me if you are interested. The Wood Wolverine dgeesaman ?

Contact a local scout troop. I'm sure the kids would help in exchange for a few $'s or a pizza party

It really sucks being injured, so you can't do what you want to do or what you need to do.
I hope you get something worked out Mike

Mike, we have several members perhaps not too far from you. Hopefully some will chime in here.

Shame about that foot, mike bayerl......if I was closer and had the time I'd come down and help you get it split and put up, but I'm just too dang busy and way behind myself......

I'm out almost 8 weeks now. Still in a boot and supposed to be non-weight bearing, but I can limp around a little and stand still and work like woodworking or stacking firewood without any pain or swelling. Fractures like mine are notorious for taking extra long to heal. I'm hoping another 4-6 weeks. (?) Ultimately, just got to play it by ear. It's just that it has been a very wet spring and summer here, so I would hate for the bottom layer on the ground to rot. I put a lot of work into it so far. Shame to waste.

Mike, I don't think I'll be able to get to you any time soon. This month filled up quick. We already had 2 vaca's planned plus I recently had an old coworker and Jeep'n friend contact me. He's building a house about 3/4 minutes away and needs help clearing his lot. He's on a time crunch so I've been at it steady (pic thread forthcoming). If anything changes, or I get a free day I'll get in touch.

Mike, has the doctor considered one of those things that are supposed to speed the healing? My wife had a problem with her foot and finally got one and it worked! I don't remember what it was called.

Hi Mike, very busy right now but still interested. How many cords do you need to get through?

    Injury really hinders things.
Pulled a back and leg muscle couple years ago, couldn't do anything for a week. Hated it.
Contact Local scout troop like someone else mentioned.
They are always helping out people that are having a hard time.
    Just Google them..
Love the chestnut oak..dont let it rot..
