No like that! NH just sent some firefighters your way to help out. Unfortunately they can't bring what is really needed - rain. I'll bet those from KC would gladly give up some of what they have gotten in the last couple of weeks to you guys if they could.
When I finally got approved for platinum membership it was great! I think the largest advantage is not firing off the membership fees every month. (I don't like using credit cards auto deduct or whatever it's called). I haven't used the nationwide discount as there has been no need for me to purchase a new chainsaw....yet. The free shipping is a plus, I mean, who doesn't like that right? And ever since I was asked to become a member of the approval board, well, lets just say things are a bit more rosy. (Yes, we do have your application and will be contacting you since it wasn't filled out properly)
I didn't know that NH is sending people as well. Great! One of the big problems is the livestock. This is cattle country where the fires are. Some of the ranchers have had to abandon their livestock to fend for themselves. I mean, how do you move thousands of cattle to safety when you don't know where safe is? Unfortunately, some of the back burns that were set to provide fire guards ended up going wrong and started new fires because the wind shifted. This has become a real battlefield for the fire fighters. I can't imagine what kind of days and nights they are going through.
Yeah. Michigan sent some firefighters a couple weeks back but I have not heard if they've sent any reinforcements.
Odd day here, dark and drizzly. Lil one has cabin fever and is playing tag with the dogs, they are doing laps around the living room. I keep thinking the Elmo musical on Sesame Street is just so Darn Cute!!
Oh.......and a smashed MS461 that Tracy dropped off when he picked up the 066. It ain't too bad.......just needs a fuel tank, and a handlebar........and the piston is a littler scored......
Also applies to just about everything you can possibly justify owning for wood hoarding....splitters, fuel/oil, wood sheds, the list goes on....Heck-may even be able to sneak in that engine swap for your motorcycle!
Working on a mold that that's kicking my rumpus for about 3 days now... something has changed but haven't quite figured out exactly... starting back at square one... Good to see you back around...
May cut some grass and perhaps a trip to soc sec office for some answers. (haven't signed up yet) What are you going to be monkeying around with??
Yesterday, I got pickup load #6 (of firewood). It is taking a bit longer each load since the easier stuff is gone and this load took a lot out of me! Whew! I had intentions of going back out today for another load but between being beat up and the temps hitting the low 80's-maybe I'll just ride around on a mower today instead!
Days have been foggy in the morning and although it lifts up during the day, we are not seeing any sun. Weather pattern could be changing on the weekend. Been in the sewing room this morning and managed to make it out again. Yesterday we visited Mom. It was the Monday of a long weekend so the ferry was busy all day.
