With the cooler weather it should be a good time to do this. Also I'd like to get it done before the typical wet fall season. It really does work nicely moving the wood with the tractor and it saves a lot of bending.
Looking good with the bucket there, sir. That will save lots of bending for sure. Once the first couple courses are laid down you'll be golden.

Nice Dennis! Can you come in "alongside" to make for only turning 90° instead of the way you have in your pic, which requires 180° of movement from the bucket to the stacks?
Yes and I've tried it both ways. This way it appears to be 180 but you don't have to turn the body that far so it saves steps. Not a lot of steps as the bucket it 5' but those steps do add up over time. I don't like to be lazy but do like to find the easiest way to do it.
Yes, it can get costly but, looking at what folks spend even on lawn mowers makes me thing it is not so costly comparatively, especially if one finds a good used deal. A fellow near us found one with 50 hours on it and saved around $3,000 and that really helps a lot. We also got a great deal on the new one else we may have bought a used one.
