Installed four culverts across camp road today. One yesterday. Done!

Finally cleaned out the ditches I had dug a long time ago and got the right pitch to them and put the pipes in. Then carefully backfilled.

Wife and girls will like riding horses down the road much better than navigating them over those ditches I had left.

Still have a few low spots to fill in with the rest of clay, but that can be done another day.

Forgot to take pictures.:emb: I've gotten a little rusty.

55 degree low temp tonight. In August. I'm in a sweatshirt and have a fire. The world may be ending because this is a first for me in Indiana. Usually it's still 90 degrees and 90 % humidity.

I finished a restoration job on an oak dining room table for a customer. I had to replace two boards that the legs were bolted onto.

I had sticker shock at big orange for a 1" x 6" x 7' oak board for just over $25.00. This went under the table and is not seen.

If someone wanted to make any sizeable piece of furniture, just the material cost is prohibitive.

    :makeitrain"

Part of the job was custom turning new feet for the legs. It had old broken wood rollers. Matching the stain was the hardest part. The feet were nice red oak firewood splits out of the stacks turned on the lathe.

The table has so many cracks in the wood but it is a family piece that the owner wanted to keep using it.

Headed out to the lake today mid 70's and very calm. Then another band to see tonight at the ozaukee cty fair. Yep, corn dog and funnel cake for dinner. With beer too.

I call BS. Sure doesn't feel like 80 out there. Clear and sunny, and that sun is IN-tense. :dennis: Central A/C (a first for me) is working overtime already and it's only 11am.

Great for the cooler temperatures but that has to be really nasty with all the rain you have got out there. Come on out here and you can dry out.

:bug: Wow! Glad you don't have to buy much of that lumber. I'll be our grandfathers are rolling over in their graves seeing those prices. And then I think of all the little 1 x 6 stuff that I sawed back in my younger days. I never dreamed it could demand that many dollars.
