So this eclipse thing is no joke where i live. We are gona be in the optimal zone. The jokers on the news are predicting 100,000 extra people to come here to view it. Makes me cringe. The big land owners are charging huge sums of $ for campsites, rv hookups etc. What a joke i hope it rains all f#@%ing day on the 21st or whenever this is supposed to go down.

Similar here, closing roads and extra law enforcement and all kinds of craziness for the Wyoming epicenter in Casper. I read somewhere recently we're supposed to have heavy cloud cover that day  There is an indian reservation near there, charging $500 to camp.

I can hardly believe how the media has been building this one up. Never seen this happen before. No doubt there will be folks driving some distance to view it but I can't think it will be as big an event as the media tends to think.

From what I understand my area has not been in a good viewing zone since 1918, so a 99 year event. Thats what I read anyway.

500$ for a campsite? Wow i will send at least 4000 fruitloop tourists out your way, they are charging like 12x that amount here in central oregon. There are already rumors of fuel shortages here so it might be time for a re-viewing of the movie red dawn! And forming a vigilante!

I hope you do rent it out! What started out as a laugh can be turned into a nice boost for the monthlys

Now, seeing as the eclipse is during the daytime, could you technically charge them for an extra overnight?????:cool::picard:

I guess there are so many coming to see it from out of town, either too far to make it home, and the news said the highways will be jammed too kind of explains the overnight. Well, it seems the 5th wheel will still be on the job in Yellowstone. I'll still advertise the tumbleweeds anyway.
