    The top of the tree is close to my splitting area. The main part is still in the woods. It doesn't look to be any bigger than 8 inches in diameter.

    I pull them out with the backhoe and the russian olive and honeysuckle bush grow back from the smallest amount of root left behind. The property to the west of me is an abandoned gravel pit/concrete rubble dump and the olive has taken over the place.

    Way to hot and humid to work on wood today it can wait for cooler weather.
    I am battling honeysuckle, olive and multi floral rose which is the worst because it grabs hold of you and doesn't like to let go OUCH! I just push it out with the tractor pile it then will burn it in the winter It seems like a never ending battle.:hair:

    If you have a pop canopy, set it up over the stack so you can at least catch a little shade when you're standing/stacking.
    Works great set up over the splitter too, but I know you don't split in the summer.:salute:

    Would but it is too hard to set up and move.

    I may be splitting some wood this summer but if not, it will be there next spring.

    Oak and cherry accross the path I am trying to get clear. At least there is a nice berl in the cherry that I can give to a turner. These came down close to another oak that came down a couple of weeks ago.

There was a bit of washing that occured in and around the pole barn that will need to be fixed as well. In 12 hours we got 5.5 inches of rain followed up by another half inch the following day.

    82 yesterday and 97% humidity on my weather station got this stacked IMG_1436.JPG and managed to split and stack about half as much in another spot. Way to hot!!! Luckily the pool was 75 from all the rain

    I went back to split some of the big white oak. Really hot working back in the woods even in the shade. It would help if we had some wind but no wind today so it doesn't take long to feel the heat when working with heavy wood.
