I'll need to cleanup the branches of the sand pile so I can get through, I'll also be dropping some trees near the entrance that are growing out of the side of the pile.

I did find this deer jaw in the sand pile.

 

I did move a bunch more sand today with the tractor but didn't take any pictures.

I'll be doing fluid checks tomorrow and a good greasing and then maybe move more sand from this area.

Tomorrow I'll also check a few hills for some gravel.

 

We had two stumps in the backyard (one near the leach field) so we did them yesterday and another near what we call the shrine so I wanted to stay away from that, I did that today.

It's job's like that and a hundred other's that make sending that tractor check in every month just about a pleasure!

 

It has been so wet that I stayed off the trails so it felt nice working with it. It's just under 200 hours with all the fluids looking good but it's almost ready for more grease.

I am going to wash it again before winter and put a coat of wax on it, what is safe to remove grease from the tractor and not harm the paint?

I'll use (although not often enough) whatever is handy, that might be a spray on grease cutter of just a rag with gasoline or diesel fuel.
WD-40 or any petroleum based product will work and I've never noticed any paint issues.

 

It sure does make the lifting easier. I was telling Sav yesterday that I actually can't wait to push snow with it.

 

I was hoping this was better topsoil for a small job were doing but it's a mixture (topsoil & sand) but it's still good enough.

The 1st picture is heading down the trail, the second is setting up to dig, in the third pic I'm backing out with the first load and the last three pics are of more stump removal in that same area.

Today I smoothed out the three areas we pulled the stumps from, there were a bunch of smaller roots I took out which will get burned up once we get more rain.

It was 85 out so the water was being consumed pretty quick but the humidity was only 54 so it could've been worse.

The sky was cloudy today with cool temps 70s but high humidity. Good time to make wood, no? Yup! As soon as I got out in the woods, the sky cleared up, temps jumped up and the sweating started!

Whew!

 

We'll see if we can get some grass growing.
