Was 75f this morning on my way to work. Was 91% humidity but with that cool temperature it didn't matter felt great. Next week we will have lows in the upper 60s. Wife also has noticed the shorter days.
Temperature just got up to 75 here. It is quite nice as the humidity is really low today and there is a nice NE breeze. I think the forecast has us down to 54 tonight.
I'd correct you on this one but for you it probably isn't hot. For us, we'd be roasting for sure. I don't even like going outdoors when it is that hot unless I'm in Arizona.
I was thinking how crazy it is that yalls high is basically where we started the day! Part of it not feeling hot today is that it's overcast. No direct sun. Humidity is at 57% too so not terrible.
Yes, I'm sure most folks in the south really wonder about us northern folks. But one problem they tend to have is that they tend to think of some of the extreme cold winter temperatures and the deep snow areas. It can be funny when people in the south many times have colder temperatures than we do. Case in point is our friend in Illinois. They typically are a lot warmer than us, yet, when a cold front moves through in the winter they will generally get colder than us. Why? We are surrounded by the Great Lakes which tends to keep us warmer (relatively). Straight west of us in Wisconsin, they too get much colder than we do. As for snowfall, it varies a lot; a whole lot. The place where we lived at (Gaylord) where we got the most snow typically gets a lot and somewhere around 200" was the lightest snow winter when we lived there. Yet where we live now typically gets very little snow. The lightest winter I can remember was 17" for the whole winter. I think our average here is around 35-45" is all and the record is only around 95". Most summers we will run the air conditioner 10 times or less. I think six days of 90 degrees or higher is our average summer.
I usually don't use the air conditioning until it's over 100 degrees. I like the heat! Back in March I was hand splitting and stacking in 90 plus degree heat. I did however set up a shade sail to attenuate the burning sun! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Where I'm from on the SC coast (Charleston) it is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer usually because the ocean regulates the temp some. They also get more rain with the ocean there. There humidity is also higher normally on any given day. We might be 97 but charleston will be like 92or 93. Our humidity may be 45% and theirs 55 or 60%
Good morning to you all, I have 56 here right now and opened all the windows to get this delicious cool air in the house. I'm loving it.
I'll bet, I remember those August mornings. That would be before four feet of snow collapsed my pool.
At 41 I would have a fire going! But if it gets in the 70s to 80s in day maybe not?? But probably over night to morning.
