Another polar Vortex, AKA winter

Hope you didn't get too comfortable with the moderating temps. Looks like this week will be more winter. Deep cold with well below normal temps. (what are normal temps.?)

 

Not comfortable, but I was getting hopeful.

 

Any able body visitors get asked to bring in a bag or two of pellets, in your case some firewood. They don't mind and you don't get injured.

 

Left for work this morning and it was still comfortable feeling. Went out at 11AM to move my truck and there was a noticeable crisp change in the air already.

 

I will not worry about being cold this time during the vortex! I had to open the open the outside door this evening because it was just too warm for me. I think when the temp gets into the teens we won't have that issue. I might have been able to get the smaller stove, but there was only $300 difference between them. I am sure after a couple seasons, I'll have learned how to fine tune this unit to this house.

 

I am ssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooo starting to hate winter.

 

You, my friend, have a lot of company! But out of Lemon winter has come some lemonade. New stove, new geni, power packs. Doesn't make me like this winter any better, but if I have to play the game, play not to be a looser.

 

Supposed to get in the upper 40s to low 50s this week.

Been normal ish so far though. Highs in the low 20s, single digit lows. Sun has been out a bit and warm enough its slowly melting snow off my roof.

 

It's not normal for here, though whatever weather pattern is causing the cold for the lesser 48 has been causing hot temps here.
So far no sign of those temps though.

 

Well went from 4* at around 9pm to now 32* at 2AM... And windy. Might be the warm temps coming in.

 

We are up to 12, but that's a long ways for. The predicted 25.

 

I was just driving by our local Industrial Supply and Heavy Truck parts distributor and saw this beside their parking lot. I just had to go back and snap a photo:

 

Looks like the cold is going to stay for a while. 10 day forecast for here does not look much warmer. Warmest will be Saturday with a high of 25 maybe. After that, all the way through next Wed. with a high of 16. WT_?
