a buddy of mine is moving and is selling a ton of stuff. What would be a fair price for a husqvarna 359 a stihl ms 290 and a stihl 75 pole saw that doesn't extend. Says a cable or something isn't working right. He said 300 but I kinda feel like that's a little low. He's a friend and I wanna be fair if I choose to buy.

At 300 for all of those you have a good deal. Unless you know what the real problem is with the non-runner, I would not offer to increase it much. In good running condition I might be willing to go that far for just the 359.

If you do take them, tell your buddy that if you bought them for less but give him the option to buy back. Not so much money , with all due respect for your friend it would merely be an exchange. Not ripping him off or anything, just settle on something so its a shared thing and if he wants to sell the whole kit to you at least he knows its in good hands :)

I get it. He's looking to unload things just so he doesn't have to move them. And he's not a firewood guy either lol. He has tons of stuff for sale.

Get after it. You have probably done him a favor or two over the years, and he is just showing thanks. Or he needs the tools gone more than he needs top dollar, and would rather help a neighbor than deal with random goons. If it makes you feel better, add a case of beer or a homemade pie to the deal and be glad. :)

I think you're right. Was at his house last night helping him move things around and he kept trying to give me stuff lol. I did agree to buy 3 crosscut saws for 50 bucks. He wanted to give me but I insisted I'd buy and he said 50 lol
