Well I made the first trip up for some lodge pole pine. It was mostly cloudy with a few sprinkles of rain and so all in all not a bad trip.

On the first pic the two trees in the center are where I started.

    The first one is down.

A pic of my wife of 43 years who is always there to watch out and take care of me. We cannot take any kind of motorized
vehicle into the woods so another wagon load.

This one took some thought before cutting down.

Last picture. Stacked and will split it come winter. Half cord.

My wife absolutely will not go to the field with me. She doesn't even like to get in my truck and will not run a saw for any reason.

As I've said before, my wife wouldn't pick up a piece of firewood even if she was about to trip over it. But I love her just the same. :emb:

Yep. I have 3 more permits and will make 3 more trips. I usually get a little more but I could not bend over and pick up one more log so after 4 trees I decided it was enouph.

I drive 100 miles one way to get to that particular spot. I believe it is around 7000 Ft elevation.

    Wow.
Sounds like a day of fun but sure does make me appreciate a few trees to harvest right in my back yard .
    Don't ave those views though.
