That's pretty cool! I don't have the patients or steady hands to attemp something like that. I'm saving a few of my logs to slab out with my Alaskan rig this summer, just so down the road when they are gone completely I'll have something to remember them by.

I made my tipi poles from an ash we took down. Working on a set of 16' tapered poles from another ash we took down as we speak.....
Yes that pole had a knot in it. Wasn't very stable! You can use that for legs and make a small table, Sav. A little present from me to you! I've already begun making my 16' tapered ash poles. I should have them done by the end of the weekend. 4 down, 8 to go!
