Eric, that is a great setup and partitioning it off like you did makes a lot of sense.

I got the pole/horse barn... 30 by 40 yup tractor in middle... Now the REAL question how did you convince your family it was for wood only?

let's see in tack room snowshoes poles shovels and generator next stall bikes then snowmobile and 4 wheelers then zoro turn little garden tractor ya get the point upstairs is dimensionAL lumber kayaks paddle boat...

my wife says it's not herso but I keep finding her stuff my daughters stuff in my space?... I get 2 stall and they are encroaching on that!

This may sound a little out there...but if I had that, I would have my Home owners insurance cover the Pole Barn along with all that wood as well. One fire &....BYE BYE!

Shawn Curry If I were to stack wood any higher, I would have to use a ladder, and we all know how much of a NO NO it is using a ladder with firewood.:pain:

Canadian border VT No snowmobile or ATV's and the only tractor I have is my John Deere garden tractor. Generator is in the garage. No boats either. Our two boys helped with the splitting before I got a Speeco splitter and they did the splitting in the polebarn. I didn't have to fight with anyone to keep it mainly for firewood.

Doesn't the home owner's insurance cover the outbuildings? Probably would not the contents though unless a rider were attached.

bushpilot It is about 100 feet from the house. I use my snowblower in the winter to keep a path open to bring down wood. DSC00086.JPG
