    5 o'clock and it sounds like the war has already started .
    Since fireworks are legal here now ,I think people in the neighbourhood are trying to one up each other :)

    Neighbor had a little show last night here. There was empty shells all over my yard and in my truck and pool this morning:picard:Guess the back 3 acres of open yard and 100 acre field behind that was a hard target:confused:

    The last couple of years I haven't had anything laying here but in the past I have had Rockets land on the deck and the roof, that's why I don't go anywhere on the 4th anymore, got to make sure nothing gets on fire.
    Fireworks don't always go the way they are supposed to go

    One year we had an un-exploded shell that the fire dept decided to detonate right after the display was over.

    Well, they did and it shot across the field, the road and into the driveway and exploded right under 99 vehicle! She let out a scolding that would have maade anyone else not involved shudder. It got real quiet amongst the fireman and then they decided to leave!

    And that, my friends, is why you should not drink while launching fireworks!

    Vehicle was safe, garage and house were safe too, but the risk was just too great to endure without interjecting some blame on them.

    They showed on the news a guy who got hurt several years ago lighting illegal fireworks, his insurance company refused to pay his $60k hospital bill!

    These people in the city near me light off all kinds of crap, houses are 10 ft apart, and then there's always a couple 3 grass fires, people getting hurt, burnt:picard:
