79 and muggy here too. Hoping that the sun will burn some more of the humidity off, and it will be more comfortable today. I'll process some wood tomorrow or Tuesday
I was actually wondering the same thing. Maybe he's just having trouble letting go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well the trailer is a bit tongue heavy, well over the 30 lbs rating for the quad even unloaded. It actually worked out pretty well having both machines going. I think wood haulers must be like saws - the more, the merrier. It has been a ton of work and there's still a long ways to go. But I'm seeing a bit of light at the end of my backyard finally. Lots of room for staging some more maple blow downs. Worked on the front yard today too. Cut up two trailer loads of red pine from that pile and another out of the woods. I think there's over a cord of that so far. Another trailer load of maple too. About a cord there as well. Skidded a few more logs too. I worked on the pine because it's a little wet over by the maples after all the rain we've had. I all of cut these to 17'. Stashed them next to the trail leading out to the front yard.
Sweet! Still hard to believe only a 30 lb rating on tongue. I don't know what the rating is on ours but I've had it really heavy and no problems so far.
Really liking that trailer. Super handy piece of equipment! Well, the log arch is too, I'm sure. Sent from my Z832 using Tapatalk
Thanks! They're force multipliers for sure. I'm figuring on getting my money's worth out of em. After I'm done with all this pine and maple, I'm going to have to start into the ash. That's an even bigger project. EAB has finally landed in my woods - one of those ash logs is a confirmed beetle kill. I've got acres of the stuff - it's probably my 2nd most populous species after maple.
