    Bought us new washer and dryer today, $1400.

    Doing the going out to breakfast and shopping at Lowes thing this morning. I'm not really in the mood for that but you do what you have to. Gonna stop see our elderly aunt and uncle. They can't get around good and need company.

    Taxed out of the state. Literally cannot afford comfortable living accommodations for our five person family on one income that does NOT qualify for free SUNY tuition. :mad:

    Cleaned the dryer vent. It was completely clogged.:eek: soot eater and an electric leaf blower= done in no time.

    I'll never say NY doesn't have a beautiful climate and countryside. I was born and raised here after all. But when the state considers me too well-off to benefit from them spending MY tax dollars and those same taxes prevent us from being able to modestly upsize our home.......... :mad: The decision to leave got a whole lot easier. I had a good job despite the long hours and challenging work, and leaving my wife's family behind was the hardest part of the whole decision. But even taking a substantial pay cut, it's quite amazing the difference in what we anticipate our quality of life to be.
