It's just a personal joke. Extra oil to cushion the crude tolerances. But also when everything else reccomends 50:1 all the chineese stuff reccomends 40:1.

One big box of mechanical jigsaw puzzle...I forgot pics earlier, so half the parts are assembled already by this point here... They have recently started labeling the bolts/screws Hard to see here but they even have Loctite on many of the machine thread screws.

Yeah, I caught that in your vids too. Did you get the top cover bushings, heat foil, or the cold/heat shutter?
Nope. I got a bunch if duplicate parts though, like the chip deflector for for the clutch cover and boot for the throttle rod. I was also missing the fuel line elbow so I had to improvise.
There is a long running thread on this subject over at AS. Looks like they have been talking about the subject for about 1 1/2 years. The people there who have been building have been having very mixed results.
OPE has quite a few build threads as well. There are some issues with a couple of parts (fuel line, chain adjuster, etc. ) but overall most seem to like the process and the product. Personally I've used AM tanks, pistons/cylinders, bearings, and various smalls. Most were decent.
well here to hoping that quality improves over timr... I've read on ope.. people are getting factory tensioner and fuel line if they were gonna keep them hoping BuckthornBonnie or 94BULLITT has the list...
Most of these builds have been from a hobby/curiosity perspective. There are some guys running the saws hard and a few are milling or in pro use. Time (run time) is what I'm curious about. But for now--/ they're neat and useful projects. One thing-- the best comparison is with a stock OEM 660. I think a lot of the excitement over these comes from the original German design; Stihl 1122s (064-660) are just damm good saws. If you haven't built one or run one for a few days, ya don't realize how well-made and strong they are.
