Yeah , pretty sure it's a paper weight . Dull chain ( made fine dust ) carb not adjusted , TCW3 oil , using it where a 70cc saw would have been a much better option ,what could go wrong ?
Gotta make a decision on what P&C after I make sure the seals a good . Was hoping for a meteor , but I hear they are having problems when used on the older 026 ,which is what this is .

I've probably got a good used jug and slug if you need it.

Latest addition got a bath, base gasket delete, timing advance, 3/4 wrap and brake handle I had on hand, and a dual port muffler cover I had on hand. I put a tank through it today, strongest non-ported 066 I've ever ran.

Bought as a non-runner, previous owner said it just quit one day. I suspected scored piston, but found the back two cylinder bolts were completely out and stuck in gap between tank and crankcase, front two cylinder bolts were loose.

Another one that got the same gasket delete and timing advance today plus a new set of cabers. Notice both saws have what appears to be grey paint on top covers right under wrap handles? The previous owner had a prosthetic a left hand. Still couldn't imagine running a 90cc saw with a prosthetic hand...

661 vs skidsteer, try bending a wrap handle that far on an older model Stihl or Husky without breaking the tank. Only parts she's gonna need is a wrap handle, recoil, brake handle, and oil cap. Tank and crankcase both survived...

Been trying to buy this redlight for a couple years, finally pried it from the owner. Couple things need fixed....missing the bucking spikes, and clutch cover, but overall a pretty nice survivor. The redlight coil is still intact and working.

Last one to close the week out. Appears to be 100% original and unmolested.

Well got all the parts gathered for the 026 in an above post (#2718 ) . Big Hat Tip to hdtoolmker765 for helping me out getting a good P&C ! She's pretty clean for an older saw that didn't get much tlc . Runs great ,the owner is going to be happy to have his saw back .

So this one dealer I do a lot of deals with and I always joke about back in the day I used to get excited about 028s. Now he can't make me take them unless he's got a bunch of good stuff to go with them. The boy and I walk in today, wait for him to get done with a customer and he says "hey Brad I got you an 028 for your collection" I just laughed and said, "no, no you don't have an 028 for my collection." Then he sets this up on the counter....
