    McD doesn't open until 10 AM on weekdays, So we usually hit McD on weekends only when it opens at 8 AM. We fished Winchester lake on Monday.

    We had plans for Highland, But they were doing a weed treatment so we steered clear of that.

    Trying to get as much water time as possible. As weather permits anyway. Dang chilly the last couple of mornings. Day started at 50º and we had jackets on and were still chilly when the wind got us. Great once the temp warmed above 70ºF. Humidity was nice too. I'll take as many days like this as I can get! ;)

    Having an extra weeks vaca this year is gonna be sweet!! Come Friday, I have 10 days off in a row and still have 3 weeks in the bank!! :D

    Up this way, we got hit hard by the gypsy moths too. First they completely defoliated the oaks, then they went after the pines. For a couple weeks, every time you went outside, it sounded like it was "raining". It's unbelievable what they do to the trees, and how quickly they do it. It looks like fall around here now. The good news is, it seems like all this rain is finally taking it's toll. Just in the past week or so, we are seeing more dead and dying than alive now. Some of the oaks are already starting to show signs of sprouting new growth as well.

    Wow, on the drive home the weather went from freaky to super freaky. On my way through IHP's neck of the woods, there was mad lightening, the temp dropped to 50 degrees, torrential downpours, and about 5 minutes of full on hail. For some period of time there was at least 1" of standing water on the highway. Scary stuff!

    I read an article in the paper today that scares the crap outta me. It seems there are ticks around now that give you a disease that causes people to become allergic to beef, pork and lamb. If I ever get that I'm gonna die.
