And I remembered the weight distribution hitch this time! Load of splits and junk butts, from some tornado downed timber that one of my loggers was working. This is the way to get it. Back under loader and have them load the trailer.
Thanks. Its a bit rougher than it looks but i love it. Runs well, its basically my hauler and wood getter.
Yep. All white and red. And yea i looked the cross members are bowing!! i want to get it off fast now! I was a little over eager this time since i had the weight distributing hitch!! It doesnt sway like it did last time i had a load like this though!!
When i was messing around the trailer awhile back i was looking at the crossmembers thinking they had a slight bow to them. I was thinking no way my little 2000# tractor and few light implements did that. Didnt really occur to me that i loaded wood like this on it as well. But i was thinking it would have been well distributed so i wouldnt thinkbit would bow. Then i guess it occured to me how heavy this stuff actually is!!
Yep. I havent really cut anything in months. Last wood i cut was a trailer load as well. Still havent stacked it all and have about 10 more rounds to cut and split off of it still
I just remembered why i havet cut much. .. i am running out of dedicated places to stack wood!! whats left to stack is half a cord..ish. it will go in the hole i made this year with plenty of room to spare but all this wood i am not sure if it will fit in the remainder? It will be close. I think i can make it fit though. Stack ot taller?? Or i can make a run down my property fence, but its not as well covered and i dont like to have it there as anything over top does not look that great. I just thought as well i do have one more gap in the fence stack...thats maybe another half a cord? So i should have plenty of space or just enough i should say. Wish i had more space cause there is a ton more. I need t get working if i get this all sokit n stacked i can just pile the logs and then do them later as i pull wood out? Im rambeling here as i think. I need to stack my big shed different so that i can pull smaller sections out and restack them. Maybe i will get some oallets and make verticle sides? That was the problem this year and prior ones it was stacked such that i had to use what i did and build my stacks out with the wood on the outsides to hold it. Would make more sense with a picture.....anyway.
Now that is a LOAD! Nice work clemsonfor ! I do the same loading technique, if there's room on the trailer I'll throw another little bit in to make sure it's good and full! I don't have to travel far and keep my roll pretty slow when the trailer is "full". Have a good time getting it all CSS. More picks of that I hope.
Since you are running out of room, I'd gladly take that load of oak off of ya. You think the ol' chevy could make it up to pa? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hoard it. I don't like to sell it!!! It takes a lot of work! But when that money comes in I kind of forget about that. Of course I usually sell green wood
Maybe this is quite a load on that transmission with the tall gears. Empty I know it wood (pun intended as is the misspelling). But the hills may do me in on the way up there!!
At least you could sell it to help your cause. Hoarding can be a VERY EXPENSIVE venture....:stacke::stacke: Pays for libations and etc!
