Post em up. Could extend this into construction also Maybe you need this one maybe you don't but I like it. knots 3d app - Google Search
That is a cool app. My oldest son was an Eagle Scout and a master at all kinds of knots and this would have been great for him. (He's training to be a priest now and doesn't have the need for it or a device to use it on. But when they do their boys summer camp it still might come in handy! And I think his religious order sponsors a Boy Scout troop.)
OK HDRock , so I have heard of apps but really have never downloaded or used one. My wife calls me names for insisting that my phone is for talking, not for texting or running apps. Her phone costs us a lot more each month but she thinks it is an alternative to using a PC. Mine is a phone and when I want to talk to folks with letters and numbers, like here for example, I use my PC. I have been building my own PCs since about 1995 because what I wanted them to do was just too expensive if I bought one at the store. On the other hand, I do not support Windows 8+. In our house I am the tech support guy but I'll be darned if I want that crap on my PC. My windows 7 does not force me to buy stuff monthly that I use every day. I run a full featured MS office suite on my PC but I own it and do not pay monthly cloud rentals on it. My office is a 2007 version and includes Access, Publisher, a nice picture editor, Word, Excel and so on. I lose track because it has so much capability. My games do not require the internet because they were built in on this Windows build. I do pay for some consumption items like Bit Defender, my internet security system. It pizzes me off but "buy it once" antivirus like the old Symantec system are no longer available. My CAD program works just fine and again is stand alone software. I do not hesitate to pay good money for decent software but if I want to use it 2 years from now I'll be darned if I want to pay for it again. You can keep your apps.
Apps are things you use on your phone that are very useful Thank you very much I will keep my apps that are useful to me
I like Animated Knots by Grog | How to Tie Knots | Fishing, Boating, Climbing, Scouting, Search and Rescue, Household, Decorative, Rope Care, for dusting the cobwebs off my knot memory... I think there is an app as well.
One app I use from time to time is the local burn ban app. They post the changes depending on air quality or how dry conditions are. I often look mid summer or mid winter, winter and summer air can get stale and not be in the air stream for days. Useful enough to make sure.
I tried downloading and using Win 10 for about a week or a bit more. I lost way too many built in functions on my machine to keep that POS. I took advantage of the option to blow it away in the first 30 days and revert. It left some pieces behind on my box like another account I could now use to log in but I just ignore that. It is not worth my time to clean it up.
I use "Ryobi phone works" for firewood- it is how my MM works. I also use "Convert Units" a lot to switch between sae and metric sizes- also use it a lot in the kitchen helping my wife. "My Measures" is another helpful app- take a picture and u are able to type dimensions and notes onto the picture. "CamScanner" turns your photos into a PDF document- helpful for receipts that I have to send via email. Charles
I was in San Diego helping my daughter move and doing odd jobs , not many tools and no level , putting a TV wall mount up , I used a level app on my phone , it did the job
