TSC near me got two truckloads in yesterday. My better half went and paid for a half ton for me to go back and pick up later. I went at around five o clock they had five ton left!!

Needed some shoulders for the rest of the season!!(and a little hoarding instinct)

HD in Augusta has 2 tons in as of noon, Maine choice and Blazer, a mostly soft wood pellet. wife picked up 15 bags, their limit, and they put them on a cart and loaded them in the van!

The HD near me are taking names and are calling people when pellets come in, this is quite the customer service, I put my name on a few lists because word in the street is Blazers may be had.

    I don't need them, I want them......I am not a nice person.

you are a pig just like the rest of us! I have 2.5 tons in the garage but got the wife to take us up to HD today when I discovered they had Blazers in. oink oink and ya hoo! But I did post it here so other pig minded folks around here could swing in. I plan to just keep adding to my stash anytime I get a chance. I want to have my full 6 tons in place by early fall.

yea, can lead a horse to water, but ya cant make them buy pellets! This shortage thing doesn't happen every year, but it certainly is bad when it does. Part of the problem is the colder than usual winter, folks are tending to burn more than they usually would, so they are finding themselves short. We still have pellets, but are probably going to limit sales to 10 bags per person, in an effort to try and keep everyone happy (now THATS laughable!). Down to around 75 tons or so right now (total of all our brands).......I know that sounds like a lot, but it isn't......I figure we can sell a lot of folks some pellets (the 10 at a time thing), and try to make it so everyone has pellets, or I can sell tonnage and run out before the weekend. Seems like the better way to go, I guess.....I'd love to sell all my tonnage, but am afraid what would happen then.......

    OPTION #1:
    customer: "got any pellets?"
us: "yep, but we are only selling 10 bags per customer"

    option #2:
    customer: "got any pellets?"
    us: "nope, all sold out"
customer: "when are you getting more?"
us: "wish I knew, no idea"

I still think option 1 is best.

Lousy....you could sell 75 tons by end of day TODAY if you wanted....

I will give everyone a heads up as well....one of the largest big box stores who shall remain nameless (orange building) has gotten ahold of some Blazer pellets and has sent them to some of their stores in VT, MA, ME and PA.
These are some Douglas Fir pellets....RUN, do not walk to any store that has these and buy as many as you can NOW....they are selling these for like $229 or $249 a ton.....now Lousyweather also carries a Douglas Fir pellet in MA and he know how much it costs to buy Douglas Fir pellets, ship it back to NE and such and he can buy pellets as well as anyone and only puts a minimal mark up on his products (I know this, cause I sell him) and his DFir pellets retail for $319....my Okie DFir pellets retail for the cheapest I have seen at $339 and as much as $450 (this is not a mis print).....right now they sell out within a few hours of delivery to any dealer in NE who get them at whatever price they want to price them at...

My point here is that this certain un-named box store has no clue what these are really worth...I have no idea how or if they are making any margin on them and if you are lucky enough to have a store around you that has them....go get some...even if you don't need pellets right now, cause I'm pretty sure this won't last...someone will either wake up and realize what they are really worth or discover they are loosing money on them selling for that price...Just sayin..... You can thank me later

I happen to like that price, Except the SOB's forgot all about CT. Or I'd be filling my stash as I type!

I guess they really ment it when they(the box stores) said "that they don't make anything on pellets"!!! Unless they stole these, I have no idea how they could sell them for less than(what I figured) they payed for them.

IMHO if anyone see's these, They should buy buy buy for that price. excellent pellet for what they are asking. Darn near stealing them!

sadly, given the brisk business we are seeing these days, by the time folks get home to read this, then get to the Big Box, you're likely too late......give it a try for sure, but that's really a STEAL of a deal......I know what it costs to buy from Doug, OR to bring them in on a railcar ourselves (not Blazers, but a good DF pellet), and trust me, that's below cost! Now, also from what we are seeing, the spring prices will most likely be NO LOWER than they are now, in some cases higher, so, you really cant go wrong with that price....
