bogieb, I can help you out for a bit on Saturday morning if you'd like. It looks pretty manageable. I'm just over an hour from you. I'm 5 minutes away from the NH border, and 10 minutes from Rt. 93. Do I qualify since I'm from Ma.?

I can probably help you get the fence back in order too.

I'm just north of the RI border I know if I could help, it wouldn't be until sometime next week. I'm currently down to Cape Cod

I'll see what I can get done this weekend with the chainsaw I have. You never know, I've done quite a few things without having the right tools - it might go better than I imagine. I'll keep you posted.

Edit - I wrote this before I say fishingpol's offer.

This would be great and especially so if MikeInMa could meet you there and work together to help another forum member.

Looks like you already have plenty of damage. Does your house insurance cover you to get that cleaned up by a pro? If I was about 800 miles closer I would be glad to help but no guarantee things would not suffer even more damage. When you cut the supporting branches off a section of trunk, the weight has to go somewhere and your fences and such look like prime targets for the added weight.

Insurance would cover a couple of hundred $$ cleaned up by a pro. My issue is I can't get anyone to return my phone calls - even companies literally a couple of blocks down the road don't get back to me.

And to prove to all who don't know me, I am not the kind of gal that just waits around like some damsel in distress. On my rare Friday night off, I got out there and got all the smaller stuff cleaned out of the area. I have stuffed the Explorer full and have 3 pile of limbs/brush waiting to be hauled off to the dump.

After the pictures were taken, I used a leaf rake to get the smaller stuff - a clean work area is a safer work area.

And here is what is waiting for me to haul tomorrow
truck full of limbs.jpg pile of limbs by flower bed.jpg pile of limbs by laundry line.jpg

I didn't bother with a picture of the pile on the other side of the house. That is all the stuff from inside the pen - not even enough to quite make a full load in the truck.
