I drink one 16oz mug a day whether I need it or not. I have yet to not need it. Any more than that and I start twitching like I'm on meth or something.
I drink 3-5 mugs a day, mostly in the morning, and love it. I makes me a nicer and happier person. Black - untainted by sugar or cream, unflavored, and with caffiene undiminished. I like different varieties of beans, but my everyday drink is Folgers or Yuban. Columbian, Ethiopian, Kona, etc. are a nice treat. Starbucks does nothing for me - I just order a black Americano when there.
Having said all the above - if you have some Bailey's, I'll take a little of that in my coffee in the evening ...
I come from a long line of all day coffee drinkers, there was always a pot on somewhere. Nowadays I grind mine fresh every day with beans from Costco - 2 lb. bags from High Desert Roasters, Columbian and Costa Rican. I brew in a 8 cup french press and make 2 or 3 pots every morning. Mama only drinks a couple of cups, the rest is mine.
I got hooked on Invader Coffee. It's really good, and from a U.S. Veteran owned and operated company- same guys that operate Rogue American apparrel. My buddy, former SEAL Ray "Cash" Care has a discount code you can punch in that will get you 15 % off- just use "Ca$h" in the discount box. In all fairness, Black Rifle Coffee Company is also a really good option. And, in full disclosure the every day coffee for me is Dunkin Donuts from Costco. The others are my treats.
Used to drink coffee all day too. Sometimes right up to bedtime. My truck would turn into DD automatically I swear. Now I'm down to one aeropressed cup in the morning.
Have to watch my intake of coffee. but, at least half a pot myself-sometimes a whole pot daily. But for my sake, it should be 1/2 caf... Rarely in the evening.
Full strength in the morning and at noon but decaf in the evening. I do watch my intake of coffee, I never drink with my eyes closed LOL
One cup a day for me usually. Before my wife got pregnant 4 years ago I could run on caffeine. When we switched to 1/2 caff during the pregnancy, I was never able to switch back if I'm making it. I can drink commercially made coffee fine, but the way I prefer it is strong, and I twitch like a crackhead after if it's full strength. I pick my mugs based on volume. We have 37 coffee mugs, but I have a rotation of only two that I use because they hold the most coffee.
I can honestly say that's the first time anyone has ever asked me such a question! At home, I make coffee the way I like it. When I'm out, if I like the taste of coffee, I'll finish it...if I don't, it stays in the cup at the restaurant. And I just spilled the beans on that story.
