004.JPG Still grinding away at the load. Only got about 14 logs left after this pile of rounds I cut up today. Got 12 pallets S/S so far out of it. I laid out a 6 stringer for the next one and I always give the old fellow down the road a pallet worth every year for his fireplace as he just likes to watch a fire every once in a while. 001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG

Lookin good man, I'm debating restacking a lot of my big cube, it's 13 ft wide and I can't help but worry about the middles not drying enough.

Lawns in the spring, summer, and fall and snow removal in the winter. Nice being your own boss. Pick and choose days and hours as long as I get em done for my clientele every week.

Ive only restacked my wood since it wasn't stacked right but maybe this is an instance where yoy figure out the middle pieces and get them out and exposed? Sometimes I leave my splits out in the open sun but stack as follows. Mostly its good to do it now for me since this weekend its mid 80's and UP. A small heat wave is heading for us now. Any time I can get better exposure to my firewood it's a opportunity for me to get the rounds split and open. Then those become pit wood(they are punky.)
I figure you want to get the stack recirculated, doesn't hurt to find out. Just extra work.

I'm good on time, it's just that we have more than enough room to stack however we would want. It just makes more sense to stack no more than 3 wide if it's not necessary. Which makes me wonder why I made that cube so wide.. hmmm

When this load is done I'll have somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-42.

Personally, I would not worry a bit. I've had stacks that large and never had a problem with them.

Here are a couple of pictures of some of our wood piles stacked. Never a problem drying. The largest one is the first one. You can't see the
entire stack but this gives you a good idea. You can see that one stack is 11 rows wide.
